In addition, our neurology services include a comprehensive range of specialty procedures, including EEG interpretation, Botox injections and therapy, peripheral nerve blocks, and medical acupuncture for the goal of improving the overall health of patients referred for neurological assessment and care.
Kevin Hunter, M.D

Kevin Hunter, M.D., specializes in the field of neurology, with a particular interest in caring for patients with dementia, epilepsy and sleep disorders.
Dr. Hunter earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh Medical School in 1992. After medical school, he completed an internship in internal medicine at St. Francis Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and continued his training at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., with a residency in neurology. He then completed a two-year fellowship program in neurophysiology and clinical epilepsy at the National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Hunter is certified in adult neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, as well as in sleep medicine by the American Board of Sleep Medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Neurology. In addition, Dr. Hunter is a past recipient of the “Top Doctors” designation from New Jersey Monthly magazine, Philadelphia magazine, New Jersey Life, and Inside Jersey magazine.
Albert J. Tahmoush, MD
Dr. Tahmoush has more than 45 years of clinical experience. He most recently served as a professor of neurology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine before joining AtlantiCare Physician Group Neurology. Dr. Tahmoush is board certified in adult neurology and clinical neurophysiology. Dr. Tahmoush specializes in: Motor neuron disorders, neuromuscular disease, Parkinson’s disease, seizure disorders, and headaches.
Rachelle Corbit, APN
Rachelle Corbitt, APN, as a registered nurse, worked on a neuroscience medical-surgical unit prior to becoming a nurse practitioner. She obtained a specialty certification as a Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse through the American Board of Neuroscience Nurses in October 2006 and continues to maintain the certification. She received her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty in Primary Care of the Adult and Aged through Rutgers university. As nurse practitioners in NJ we are required to obtain a national certification; she received her specialty certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Adult Nurse Practitioner.
As a Neurology Nurse Practitioner, in collaboration with the Neurologist, evaluate, diagnose and treat patients in the acute care hospital and outpatient setting in the clinic. Neurological conditions or diseases commonly seen include acute ischemic or hemorrhagic strokes, new onset seizures and seizure disorders, acute delirium or change in mental status, exacerbation of chronic diseases such as multiple sclerosis or myasthenia gravis, Parkinson's disease, Chronic Migraine, head injuries, and acute neuropathy or spinal radiculopathy.
Janet Mazauskas, APN(c),
Janet Mazauskas, APN(c), has been caring for patients as a Nurse Practitioner and a Registered Nurse for 21 years. She began her career in Neurological Critical Care at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. She, then, relocated to southern New Jersey, where she worked as a Nurse Practitioner in Neurology at Cape Regional Physician Associates. Janet completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty in Primary Care-Family at Monmouth University. She received her specialty certification through the American Nurse Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She also holds a specialty certification in Critical Care Nursing.
Reeva Salkin, M.S.N., ANP-BC, RN
Reeva Salkin, M.S.N., ANP-BC, RN, joined AtlantiCare Physician Group Neurology in January 2018. She is a licensed registered nurse and board-certified nurse practitioner with a special interest in the care of patients with Alzheimer’s disease, traumatic brain injury, concussions and post-concussion syndrome.
Her role at AtlantiCare is focused on the inpatient care and outpatient follow-up of patients diagnosed with neurologic conditions, from stroke and traumatic brain injuries, to multiple sclerosis, concussions, and dementia.
Salkin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing with high honors from Thomas Jefferson University School of Nursing, where she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. She then completed the Adult Health and Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Program and earned a Master of Science degree in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.
Prior to becoming an assistant professor of nursing at Atlantic Cape Community College in Mays Landing, New Jersey, Salkin began her career in neurology at Jefferson Hospital for Neurology in Philadelphia.
She is a member of the American Holistic Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
